C.A.R.E. Tech Donation Program – Consoles, Computers & Community Support
How Families Can Request a Console or Computer
Families, caregivers, or youth programs who would benefit from a donated console or computer can request support through the C.A.R.E. Program at any time.
Here’s how the process works:
1. Submit an Inquiry
Use our Contact Page or email us directly at info@wsegl.ca with a short message explaining your family’s needs. No long forms or complicated paperwork.
2. Tell Us What Would Help Most
Let us know:
-
the age(s) of the child or youth or member of the public
-
any accessibility needs or disabilities
-
whether you’re looking for a console, computer, or adaptive equipment
-
if this is for home use, hospital recovery, school needs, or community support
3. Our Team Reviews the Request
WSEGL’s volunteer directors review each request to match your family with the right system based on:
-
inventory on hand
-
upcoming ERA credits
-
accessibility requirements
-
urgency or circumstances
4. We Build a C.A.R.E. Kit
If approved, we prepare a console or computer that fits your needs.
This may include:
-
accessible controllers or switches
-
safe, age-appropriate game recommendations
-
basic setup guidance
-
optional support connections
5. Pickup, Delivery, or Event Handoff
Depending on your location, you may:
-
pick up locally
-
receive delivery by mail
-
receive your system at one of our public events or community pop-ups
6. Continued Support
We stay connected for basic troubleshooting, accessibility adjustments, and ensuring the system continues to work for your family.
