Inclusive Play Foundations™ Course

Inclusive Play Foundations™

Building Safe, Accessible & Inclusive Gaming Spaces for Everyone

What Is Inclusive Play Foundations™?

Inclusive Play Foundations™ is a free, comprehensive educational program created by The Inclusion Arcade (WSEGL Canada) to help families, educators, libraries, and community organizations build safe, accessible, and inclusive gaming environments.

This course goes beyond hardware and accessibility checklists. It focuses on human-centered design, real-world implementation, and sustainable inclusion — whether play happens at home, in a school, at a library, or in a public community space.

Inclusive play is not a feature. It is a framework.

Why This Program Exists

Many gaming environments unintentionally exclude people due to:

  • Physical, sensory, or cognitive barriers

  • One-size-fits-all design assumptions

  • Lack of safety planning

  • Limited understanding of adaptive technology

  • Cost and funding misconceptions

Inclusive Play Foundations™ was created to remove those barriers by giving people practical knowledge, trusted resources, and real-world guidance.

This program is built from lived experience, public education work, and years of adaptive gaming advocacy across Canada and the United States.

  • Skill development and self-advocacy
